Immigrants with Negative Labels

In "A Few Simple Facts for the Friends of The Negro", British, white supremacy was one of the main themes as well as religion and civility. In this video, Ann Coulter and Jorge Ramos discuss immigration and its effect in the US. From minute 8:03 to minute 13:44, Ann holds this idea that minorities are uncivilized, dangerous, and criminals. She argues that the US is not diverse, since 1/3 of the immigrants are from Mexico, according to her book. Later on, Coulter states that immigrants are uneducated, poor, and more likely to engage in crime. In other words, Coulter portrays a negative image of immigrants and diversity in the US, and embraces the white supremacy ideology. In A Few Simple Facts for the Friends of the Negro, The Church Missionary and Ladies Societies portray the natives as uneducated, sinners, and wrongdoers, which is closely related to the image of immigrants that Coulter depicts. The Church Missionary and Ladies' Societies wanted to change the cultural beliefs of the natives through Christianity, whereas Coulter wants to keep a white supremacist society and avoid the influence of other cultures.
