Project Proposal: Mapping Ulysses (Intended Audience)

Intended Audience

I’m taking aim, here, mostly at undergraduates conducting preliminary research on Ulysses. The first time reader, and beyond, are barraged with a litany of seemingly indecipherable toponyms—sometimes in another language (Irish)—while reading the novel. This map will aid in engaging with the novel on a fundamental level, as the representation of the city itself, with its tumid geopolitical investments. Hopefully, it will be of use to the more seasoned researches in the Joyce community.
