Discussion of "A Workflow, Analog and Digital"

Visualizing the Interface

The screencast format lends itself well to this exercise, since it allows us to visually express our relationships with the various interfaces we use. That said, the constraint on length (1–2 minutes) in the prompt made this response a challenge to work through. As the project unfolded, I realized how many different elements I could include. In the end, while the video was fun to make, the end product feels a bit rushed at times. In future, since we all enjoyed watching each other's submissions (both for production values and for the chance to see how each workflow plays out), it might work well to have each participant choose one or two programs or applications that they think others might benefit from learning more about, and using the time to demonstrate the features of these tools in more detail.
