Based on the diaries of an anonymous New Haven county shopkeeper from the 1850s, the work is experienced on a computer screen through a LEAP motion controller.
This short documentary commissioned by Site Projects and created by Ryan O'Donnell gives an overview of the artwork as told by the artists and shows its opening in the New Haven Free Public Library. The work was on view in all five branches of NHFPL (April 26 - Aug 2014); City Hall New Haven (Sept 2 -12, 2014) and The Institute Library (Sept 4 - Nov 2014).
The work is presented in partnership with the New Haven Free Public Library and is a program of CT at Work - a yearlong conversation about the past, present and future of work life in Connecticut created by CT Humanities in partnership with NHFPL and the Arts Council of Greater New Haven.plain2017-06-14T14:54:00-07:00Vimeo2014-09-01T23:15:13video104981357Site Projects#siteprojects#artnhv#nhv#ctatwork#nhfpl
