ABOUT THE ARCHIVE

23020 MEDIA ARCHIVES
This audio-visual archive is a collaborative project that documents and critically analyses data collected at the University of Pretoria's (UP) Student Centre and Piazza. Students enrolled in the BA(Hons) Visual Studies programme in2017 collected data - in the form of photographs and voice-notes - at the site, uploaded this material to create the archive, and then analysed the archive in an interactive multimedia reflection essay. We hope that by exploring this site, you will get a 'sense' of how sensory experience shapes the ways in which this group of students engages with one of the main student hubs on campus.
HOW TO NAVIGATE THIS ARCHIVE:
1) Start by working through the media pages to view, as well as experience, the images and media collected in the Piazza.
2) Then follow the various essay discussions of the data collected.
