Provenance, Book of Hours Use of Rome, Northern France

John Windle Antiquarian Bookseller; 2014. From the library of James Boswell, with his inscription dated 1766, possibly purchased by him in Paris in that year. Consigned by Boswell descendant Joyce Lady Talbot de Malahide to Christie's and sold December 18, 1959 to Norman Strouse. It was sold at the request of his heirs. It has not been on the market since 1959. Sold to USC Special Collections by John Windle in March 2014.
