Future Studies on LJS 184
If anyone continues to work on LJS 184, there are a few avenues that may be especially fruitful:
(2) Try to identify the notary whose signature appears on the pastedown, perhaps by comparing it to other early fourteenth-century Castilian legal documents. I have looked briefly through the collections at the Biblioteca Nacional de Espana, but they have digitized very few shorter, non-literary documents.
(3) Figure out why the herald on 183v has been removed, and see if it has any connection to the missing plate on the inside front cover, or if these missing signs of ownership reveal anything useful about the manuscript's provenance.
