11 Ehrenreich’s paper in Heresies #9

The comments on the session by the socialist feminist Barbara Ehrenreich were published in Heresies #9.  Ehrenreich's piece generally took on the follies as she saw them of "radical feminism" and in particular separatism from men.

She made positive reference to Johnson and Bristow's paper

"we do not have a feminist politics that expresses the totality of our experience as women - 'the both and the and" that Camille Bristow and Bonnie Johnson have spoken about"

she places it in the context of (only) separatism of the sexes, ignoring their larger point that black women "have needed time  to ourselves. We need to be with black women and find out who we are together."

While Bristow and Johnson's interview shared at the Conference has never been published, I find many citations to another "conversation" involving Johnson.
