Joseph Savoie's career began at USL, where he earned his Bachelor's and Master's in Education. His doctoral degree in Education is from Columbia University's Teacher's College. He held many positions at USL before becoming president, including executive director of the Alumni Association, vice president for University Advancement, and program director for the Union Program Council. This is a photograph from 1983, when he served in University Relations.
