Johnson. called "Nature displaced, nature displayed : order and beauty in botanical gardens" the writter talks about several diffrent botanical Gardens that have been setup throughout the 18th and 19th century in england and what their purpose was in realtion the the culture these gardens portray. Some Key examples being The Cambridge Botanical Garden which was used through out the 1760 in order to teach people about botany, and improve the understanding of agricultural expertise. The Other Gardens were set up for similar purposes as they were founded in the intent of scientific study and advance ment of botany through study and practise. This Lends itself to the idea that Botanical gardens have for a long time served a purpose in informing people for decades.
