He earned his PhD from York University and MSc (with distinction) from the London School of Economics, and recently started as an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Advanced Studies in Bioscience Innovation Law (CeBIL) based at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.
Before arriving at CeBIL, Isaac worked as a Senior Research Associate with the Centre for Law, Medicine, and Life Sciences at the Faculty of Law, University of Cambridge. He continues to serve as an Investigator with the Global Strategy Lab at York University, Toronto.
Isaac’s research leverages critical social science methods to better understand and address today’s greatest challenges, including antimicrobial resistance, emerging pandemic threats, and sustaining our planetary health. His recent work has appeared in Perspectives on Politics, Policy Studies Journal and Globalization and Health.
At CeBIL, Isaac leads projects on biosolutions (and new genetic technologies), pandemic preparedness, and antimicrobial resistance governance. These projects build upon Isaac’s expertise in health policy and governance, drawing on his background as a globally oriented political scientist.
