Through the Petri Glass: An event for World AMR Awareness Week, 19-20 Nov 2024.

Becky McCall

Becky McCall is based in London, UK, and is currently writing up her PhD at University College London (UCL). The project, entitled StoryBug, explores the value of digital storytelling in communicating concepts of AMR to the public. Ideally, she envisages digital stories forming one strand of a multi-stranded public health campaign to shape thinking around careful antibiotic use and the threat of AMR. Digital stories might resonate with people in a way that complements other communication formats and speaks to communication in the digital age.

Becky is also a medical journalist writing for both medical and consumer press, recently including Foresight Global Health, Medscape.com, The Lancet, The Times and the Mail on Sunday. She has also worked in radio and TV.

Digital stories can be viewed on my StoryBug website.
