Beyond the Boundaries of Fantasia: An ancient imagining of the future of leadership

Reflection: Implicit Bias

The American Association of University Women, in collaboration with Project Implicit and Harvard University, has created an experiment that measures your implicit bias for or against women in leadership positions. As a part of your module on gender and leadership in Plutarch's Antony, do the following:

1. Before you do the reading for this module, take the Implicit Bias Survey (10 minutes).
2. After you receive your results, write for c. 20 minutes total about the following questions:3. After you complete the reading for this module, retake the Implicit Bias Survey. Then, make an argument for how Plutarch would do on this survey. Does he think of women as supporters and men as leaders? Do those terms mean something different in an ancient context?
