Recipe for Home
- Place veggies in pot (whole onion, carrots, celery hearts/stalks, scallions, etc.).
- Place whole chicken in pot after removing giblets (if applicable).
- Salt chicken generously.
- Place chicken bouillon in pot.
- Fill pot with water until chicken is submerged.
- Bring to boil then simmer for 2ish hours.
**I recommend keeping as many vegetable ends as possible to reduce into a stock if you aren’t using chicken. This year, I think I’ll try adding in white miso paste for some more depth of flavor and umami.
***For noodles: get the Manischevitz wide egg noodles. For matzo balls: follow the instructions on the matzo meal box. We like Strait’s. Just be sure to use seltzer or club soda in your matzo balls to keep them extra light and fluffy.
