She also holds a Bachelor's in Public Policy Studies from Duke and currently works for the Clinton Foundation on a youth social impact program. Her previous research explored the relationship between sexual health and sexual violence on college campuses.
Based in Durham, NC, Ilana spends much of her time with her dog, Bertie, and her houseplants, of which there are ninety-five (seriously). While she may not eat chicken soup, Ilana considers herself a foodie with a deep investment in local food movements and sustainable food systems: she is a weekly devotee of the Durham Farmers Market and will happily rank her favorite ice cream parlors in a thirty-mile radius.
