YMCA classes Continued

Women and children were a priority to the Steelworks YMCA.  Many classes were offered to both men, women, and children to better their experience of living within the Steelworks Community.  Cooking and sewing classes of all levels were offered.  This was to teach the cooking recipes, manners, and preparations for American meals.

Sewing classes were offered to teach the women and children how to mend and make clothes.  This class also consisted of sewing household needs such as curtains, clothing, and stitching ruined or tarnished fabrics.
