Intramural Sports
Many intramural sports took place when the "Y" was created. Baseball was held in the spring, along with swimming, football in the fall and in the winter Basketball and boxing tournaments were held weekly. Intramural sports were created within the infrastructure of the mill to promote well being and socializing. These were also a form of entertainment for the laborers and their families to keep mental and emotional balance, and promote a healthy lifestyle within the community.
