This reading shares the perspective of mexican and/or native americans that shares their group’s struggles in living between american and mexican lands. The hostile take overs by Anglo Saxon Americans had a major effect in why native/mexican people in the southern parts of America are suffering economically, politically, and socially. The writer describes that Anglo Saxon Americans incited a war with mexico to take over Texas, New Mexico, and other states that are now part of United States.
After the writer describes the historic nature of his/her people, the writer writes more about the current situation that his/her people face. Rape, murder, slavery, and others are all currently being used towards the mexican/natives. The writer then describes how Anglo Saxon Americans are constantly oppressing and abusing their powers on natives/mexicans. Overall, the strong are preying on the week and the weakest are the native/mexican girls that cross the border to survive, but end up being abused in every way imaginable.
