Agency, Voice, and the Evolution (AVE) of Women at Saint Mary’s, 1920-2023: Spring 2023

Methodologies

Between the end of February and early May 2023, students collaborated to select items from the Saint Mary's College Archives for inclusion in the project, to conduct research into those items, to digitize and describe them, and to create a thematic framework through which to introduce audiences to these materials. While all students conducted work selecting and researching items and generating content for the site, the students divided the tasks of digitization and metadata creation.

The digitization team was comprised of: Mary Elsinger, Bridget Justen, Grace Leber, Paige Parker, Sarah Stephenson, and Mariana Taskey. Their work was guided by Eric Walerko, the Archivist at Saint Mary's College.
The following equipment was used for digitization: An Atiz Bookdrive Mark 2 scanner, a  CZUR ET24 Pro Professional Book/Document Scanner, and a  Sony Alpha a6000 Mirrorless Digital Camera 24.3MP.

The metadata creation team was comprised of: Kathryn Clem, Chancelor Gordon, Chloe Nosal, Kaylen Nyhuis, Mari Pritulsky, Christina Shadid, and Evangelina Yarber.
