'So what's good with Mary and her project?'
I thought you'd never ask:
I'm a fourth year World Arts & Culture major at the University of California Los Angeles, focusing on the power of humor as a tool in activism; having the ability to communicate and deconstruct some of the tremendously emotional and perverse social issues that have divided our society. Humor within this dynamic has the power to create positive change in the world and establish an informed global citizenry, a mission I am incredibly passionate about. I explore the role of humor within our society through an assortment of: research, personal experience, different works of art, and with ongoing research on different Late Night Hosts and Comedians that are tackling some of our society's toughest questions and vexed topics. 'But what is Scalar?'
Scalar is a multimedia platform, which allows for different pathways to be accessed due to the intersectionality of my project. You have two options on how to navigate:
1. You can continue on the path that will take you through the original path I set up; exploring the totality and flow of my project (Pretty cool so you should do this).
2. You can naviagte however your heart desires: If you're trying to check out my Comedians and the Late Night hosts section, jump right on down to the "Introduction to the Truth Tellers" tab, or if you're wondering about the dimensionality around joking about dark topics, click on the "Gallows Humor" tab found below.
