Self-Aware System

Self-aware systems exist at a level in which agents with self-awareness and reflexivity consciously figure themselves into problem-solving  and  monitoring processes. (58)  This concept is similar to the process which Meadows conceives of as a reinforcing or enhancing feedback loop (see appendix).  Both work in a circular fashion to reinforce the direction of change and both are goal-driven.
