Observer

According to Poole, "a systems theory develops a description of real-world phenomena in terms of an abstract logic of explanation that is constructed by the observer" (49).
Developing a concept of the system observer allows the researcher to not only analyze the system itself, but also their role in its theoretical creation, as well as the roles of other potential observers.
