Tony Schwartz: A Sound Symbol in Stereo (May 22, 1968)

Sound designer and WNYC radio host Tony Schwartz used one of his first opportunities to broadcast in stereo to share a "sound symbol" he created, inspired by the ongoing non-proliferation discussions at the United Nations. A broad influence on radio, advertising, and communications, Schwartz is probably most famous for his decades of field recording on NYC streets, and his work on the infamous "Daisy" campaign ad created for President Johnson.
