Starting a project

Follow these three steps to create a project and get everything ready to go. We'll be using "Scalar 2" - the new version of Scalar - because it looks nicer. The media gallery above should help you navigate the website.

1. OPEN SCALAR

LOG IN to scalar: http://scalar.usc.edu/works/system/login
NAVIGATE TO: dashboard (upper right corner)

2. CREATE A NEW BOOK

Navigate to my account (first tab)
CREATE NEW BOOK: type the title of your new book and click “create”

3. OPEN YOUR BOOK

Navigate to the project by selecting “Back To Book” in the upper right hand corner
