Author Introductions:

Maddie Tobias is a first-year student at Case Western Reserve University. She is currently on a pre-medical track and is deciding between a Biochemistry or Math degree at CWRU.  Her hobbies include listening to music, sleeping, reading books by Malcolm Gladwell, and eating sushi. Maddie is passionate about social justice, which prompted her to choose my hands/wishful thinking for this project.

Kyle Yuan is a first-year student at Case Western Reserve University, majoring in biochemistry on a pre-medical track. Outside of school, he enjoys swimming, playing the flute, and playing video games. Because of his interest in medical field, the malpractice and unethical experiments presented in “The Lobotomy” prompted him to analyze this work.

Jerry Chen is also a first-year student at Case Western Reserve University who is currently studying Computer Science. Jerry enjoys reading, listening to music, playing games, and generally overthinking everything. Jerry also is thinking about minoring in Psychology as the study of behaviors is interesting to him. He is especially interested in Abnormal Psychology, which is why the story “To My Bones” was appealing to him.

William Siege is a first-year student at Case Western Reserve University, studying to double major in Mechanical and Aerospace engineering. Outside of schoolwork, Will enjoys playing chess competitively, reading, playing tennis and listening to classic rock music. Will is passionate about preventing climate change, which is why he found "Dawn", a poem about the stability of nature relative to humans, so fascinating.
