UNPAID INTERN brings on CONTESTANTS and pre-chosen AUDIENCE in this order:
ALEX/ESSENTIAL WORKER, SASHA/FAST FOOD WORKER, AUDIENCE CONTESTANT.
JUSTINE runs out onstage to PODIUM, Stage Right.

JUSTINE
And now it’s time for an old favorite, Chuck or Cherish! I’m your host, Justine Goudreaux, and you’re here for the the game show that makes you choose between the bad and the absolutely terrible. . . for the chance to win big!

UNPAID INTERN holds up applause sign and walked across DSL to DSR hyping the audience up.

JUSTINE
Where one of you – yes you – will have the chance to take home one of our fabulous prizes (motions to the stack of prizes off to the side, covered in some flashy cloth). But first, let’s meet our contestants!
We have Alex from Baton Rouge, head cashier from at Whole Store.

ALEX/ESSENTIAL WORKER
Thank you, glad to be here.

JUSTINE
Alex, you must’ve seen some crazy stuff during lock-down!

ALEX
Not really. I spent most of my time trying to build a rocket ship to beat Jeffrey Bezos to Mars.

JUSTINE
And next we have Sasha from Lafayette. Sasha is team member at Crispy Bird and a junior at LSU – that means you started during the shut-down. Sasha, tell us, how was it going to school on Zoom?

SASHA/FAST FOOD WORKER
No clue. I was asleep. I do with I was asleep when a customer asked who I’m voting for.

JUSTINE

JUSTINE
Now, most of you know how the game works. I give you a scenario or situation from the pandemic times, and you decide if it is something you will Chuck or Cherish. And remember, there are right answers! Our first questions goes to Alex, Chuck or Cherish:

JUSTINE

ALEX and SASHA part slightly as OMICRON enters USC holding a 6’ pole and wearing a Kevin Bacon Face Mask. Pyramid of Rock Out Brand Toilet Paper is in front of Center Structure.
Models each prize as JUSTINE names them.
UNPAID INTERN is onstage assisting OMICRON. She has an unopened Kevin Bacon Face Mask – if the AUDIENCE choose that prize.

JUSTINE:
You have your choice of a 6’ pole, so you can show people how far away they really need to stand,

OMICRON models 6’pole.

JUSTINE:
A Kevin Bacon face mask, for those times you just want to blend in,

OMICRON hands pole to UNPAID INTERN and models Kevin Bacon Face Mask.

JUSTINE:
Or, all the Rock Out with Your (bleep SFX) Out Toilet Paper you can carry!

OMICRON, still wearing mask, cheats US to indicate Pyramid of Toilet Paper.

JUSTINE

Note: if they choose the facemask, UNPAID INTERN will give them an unopened one.

AUDIENCE is escorted back to their seat by UNPAID INTERN.

JUSTINE
