The object of the game is to correctly decide whether or not to "chuck" or "cherish" a memory from the pandemic. The game show is satirical in nature, with each of the memories from the pandemic, including "having no sense of what day it is / and being unemployed," "signing into class from bed / and realizing your professor has a “cameras on” policy," and "having more free time / and your professors assigning double the work," being negative in nature. No one would ever choose to "cherish" these moments.
"Chuck or Cherish" also involved audience participation. One of the contestants on the show was an audience member.
At the end of "Chuck or Cherish," the winner of the game show was given the option to choose one of three prizes. The first prize was a six-foot pole, the recommended "social distancing" distance during the pandemic. The second was a Kevin Bacon face mask with the caveat that it should be selected if you "want to blend in." Lastly, the final prize was "all the Rock Out With Your Schnoz Out toilet paper you could carry," a reference to the toilet paper shortage that occurred at the beginning of the pandemic as a result of panic buying.
