Perihermenias
Aristotle was born on the Chalcidic peninsula of Macedonia, in northern Greece. In 367, Aristotle migrated to Athens, where he joined the Academy of Plato (c. 428–c. 348 BCE). He remained there for 20 years as Plato’s pupil and colleague. Aristotle wrote on a range of disciplines, from philosophy, rhetoric and ethics through aesthetics, botany and zoology, and into fields such as political science and metaphysics.
The set of doctrines in the Categories, provides the framework for Aristotle’s philosophical questions.
