- Shown On: The CW
- Notable Creators: Creators Rachel Bloom and Aline Brosh McKenna
- Queer Characters: Darryl Whitefeather (Pete Gardner), White Josh (David Hull)
- Sexualities: Rachel Bloom, Aline Brosh McKenna and Pete Gardner are all straight
- Show Description: (from IMDB) A young woman abandons a choice job at a law firm and her life in New York in an attempt to find happiness in the unlikely locale of West Covina, California
- Queer Summary: Darryl Whitefeather, the boss of the series' protagonist, Rebecca, is a recently divorced man in his mid-40's who discovers he is bisexual after striking up a relationship with a character nicknamed White Josh. He is so elated by this discovery that he performs a song at work about being bi, with lyrics that address several stereotypes about bisexuality.
- Creator and actor thoughts: Creators Bloom and McKenna were originally inspired by the pure lack of male bisexual characters on TV, and also how poorly this rare representation was handled, to create a more positive representation of a bisexual male character. Pete Gardner found out about Darryl's bisexuality the first day on set, when he met with Bloom and McKenna. He also expresses his desire to play Darryl's relationship with Josh "like any other love story" and appreciates how the writers didn't make Darryl's sexuality "the butt of the joke."
- Analysis: Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is one of only a handful of shows that currently include bisexual male characters, and also one of the only shows that explicitly defines bisexuality and works to eliminate negative stereotypes. Further, the bisexual character on the show literally has a coming out song about being bisexual that addresses many possible stereotypes.
