Industrial Sports

Located just across the Interstate in Pueblo from Colorado Fuel and Iron stood this YMCA. Many sporting events were held and practiced here, such as swimming, bowling, basketball, volleyball, and more. The building was opened to the public in 1920, but this picture was taken on December 28, 1963 shortly before the building was torn down. In its day, the YMCA hosted a number of community activities, including classes, concerts, sporting activities, and so much more. This building was the hub of community events.
