This Scalar book was created by librarians at the USC Libraries for students at USC in a variety of disciplines. Knowledge of how to find, access, and interpret primary sources, in short Primary Source Literacy skills, are required by all those who want to conduct independent research using rare books and archives. The book consists of a variety of modules that will walk you through the various aspects of primary source research and will provide additional content to help you deepen the most relevant aspects of working with primary source materials, as well as exercises to practice your skills and become for comfortable in using electronic as well as physical primary source materials.
