Holy Sepulchre

A church within the Old City in Jerusalem, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre was one of the holy places that the First Crusade attempted to liberate from Muslim control. As a holy place for all three religions in the area (Judaism, Christianity, Islam), control of this church held much symbolic meaning.
