Girolamo Sernigi's Letter

This letter by Florentine merchant and traveler Girolamo Sernigi attests to the rumors of Prester John circulating in Calcutta. This information can also be found in Venetian navigator Luigi da Cadamosto's Navigatio. It also includes a description of of the type of Christianity practiced by Prester John's people, who are referred to in the letter as "Prester John Christians"
