  A young librarian meets a mysterious man, Alex, that turns out to be a vampire. The two are both mourning their lost loves and start to get to know one another. It turns out that the lost love of this vampire is a girl named Virginia Clemm. There is an Edgar Allan Poe character in the movie, but to reveal the details of it would spoil the movie for you. 
  Poe is portrayed as a very angry and vengeful person.
