"madison sat there alone, staring intensely into the nothing, slightly confused, and some what comforted by the memory that he was not always alone."

This short film is a moment of reflection for Madison looking back to a time just after his world changed. In the larger Outpost narrative this visually represents a time after "the Little Savages" short story.  In Madison's development this is a moment of contemplation of the past and trying to find logic and comfort in the present.
