Opening Up Space: A Lovely Technofeminist Opportunity

Sarah's Full Name

Sarah was likely given as a name by settlers at the Ormsby house, near their Carson Sink, where she was raised for a time around the age of 14 or 15. (Zanjani)

"Winnemucca" comes from the name of father - referred to as Chief Winnemucca - and passed down as a "last" and "middle" name

Hopkins refers to the surname of her last husband, Lewis Hopkins, who unfortunately did not treat Sarah with the respect she deserved.
