That thought frequently escapes my head as I read and write and read and take quizzes and watch lectures. I am human, and this is me, sitting at my desk wrapped in a blanket (my new campus is very cold...). The computer on which I do all my forgetting has stickers for things that are close to my heart, like my home in Oregon and mental health awareness. These things-- and so much more about me, like my whiteness, my class, my gender and sexuality-- all come together to shape me and how I interact with the pieces in this digital work. I am thankful to have the opportunity to work on this amazing project with amazing people, and to learn about amazing things because all of it is helping me become a better and more self-aware version of myself.
