Open Access Sites

Information should be unlimited in all areas of studies. Below are many different web sites, that although they are different in their subjects, all share a common drive to make information, fast, accessible and free.

Alliance of Tax Payer Research: This site is dedicated to making information and findings that were funded by tax dollars open to the public. The founders believe that if our tax dollars are going into something we deserved to know what they produced with our money.

Right to Research Coalition: This organization focuses its sights on getting free research for students of universities that may not be able to pay for some of the bigger archives. Not only does the organization try to fight for free articles and research but also is constructing its own archive of scholarly works.

Society for Scholarly Publishing: This open access site founded in the late 1970's, is a non-profit organization that was formed on the idea of communication between all scholarly publicans communities. The organization not only has a free archive, but also promotes networking between scholars in the same fields but also inter fields communications.

Public Knowledge: This organization isn't necessarily an archive of any sort, but an active organization that fights for the rights of the general public. It does this through lobbying, creating real awareness, government transparency, and fights policy that will hinder the development or creativity of technology and the internet.
