Getting your scanner ready
- Connect scanner to computer using USB cable and to power outlet using AC power cable (both can be plugged in on the back of the scanner unit).
- Place 3D scanner with the front facing the rotating platform (if not using the platform, place scanner facing the object).
- Determine range setting and place the platform/object the appropriate length away. Note: the closer to the middle of scan range the object falls, the better the scan.
- Connect platform to scanner if appropriate. If using the Wide range setting, use the cable extension to connect the platform.
- Open ScanStudio – the program will calibrate the scanner automatically. Go to “scan.”
- Align object within the scanner’s capture field and choose appropriate settings. You can jog the platform around using the turn buttons to test whether your object will stay in the capture field as it moves.
- When your object is ready to go click “Scan”!
