Does Technologies Take Us To Miniature World And Make Us Become More Smart?: "Big Brains"

Does Technologies Take Us To Miniature World And Make Us Become More Smart?

With the continuous development of human society, science and technology are constantly improving and updating. Advanced technology has created a better life for us today. People continue to explore, discovery, and innovation, the pace of mankind is striding forward step forward. The invention of cars are undoubtedly greatly facilitated our travel and so on; it makes us become convenience. Air-flight, ferry, train, etc. growing faster and faster; the amazing achievements in agriculture; the machine is constantly humanized. There are many inventions are for our lives has laid a good foundation.Computer is a cross-century creation, we can not live without it. Computer can easily help us to complete many complex things, can accurately calculate we want the data to reach us out of a wide range of needs. All of these can relate to "Artificial Intelligence". "Artificial Intelligence" is going to throughout our life step by step at present even in the future. How "Artificial Intelligence" effects our life? Is it can help us become smarter? There are many questions still uncertain and debate between different groups of people at present.

In book "Smarter Than You Think", Thompson mentions that “chess-playing computer has no intuition at all; human would bring intuition and insight to read opponents during playing chess time”. In other words, Thompson states that human has the perceived ability and can observe opponents in different situations; in contrast, computer can’t perceive to feel people’s psychological activities. Currently, human already use computer program to create robots for our real life; use robots in chess game play field as well as put robots in other fields, such as restaurant service, agriculture, nursing home and so on. It is good news for us because robots can replace human to do basic things and human can do other include more skills or creative jobs. Comparing "Artificial Intelligence" and human beings, currently, like Thompson states that "Artificial Intelligence" has no intuition like human. It is true at present because "Artificial Intelligence" is working through human insert different programs. They can work like human or look like human, but they can't being real human. They don't have real life like human. All of things inside of their "bodies" are machine and program. Even though someday "Artificial Intelligence" has intuition like human, they still can't instead of human because there are something "Artificial Intelligence" will not have. Roger Wu mentions that in article "The three things human will always do better than robots", he states that "Robots are good at knowing the rules of the game, and figuring out ways to bend them or to find the optimal moves. But humans can still figure out new games to play." This point out that "Artificial Intelligence" can choose the optimal way to do something, but it only basis on program or data what human insert to the machine; in contrast, if human don't insert some new knowledge to machine, "Artificial Intelligence" can't figure out new things.

In my experience, when I was a teenage, sometimes I played “battle landlords”, which is a card game. There are 54 cards. Also, there is a function which we can click on the setting button to switch to the "machine status" so that the computer will help us to continue to play the card game under program system what human insert to it. I usually used this function when there were other things need to do immediately. When I first time knew this function, I was so happy because I believed that computer have extra opportunity to help me won the game, but actually the thinking went to the wrong way. Like Thompson mentions, “computer has no intuition.” Computer is faster than human in calculation, search, identification and other aspects. They according the programs to operation things and choose optimal ways. When I first time use "machine status" function to played to card game, it helped me won, but there were many times fail to other people who played with me. As a result, if we pay attention to observe how computer play the game, we can figure out that there is an inherent way what computer play this game. If our opponent deep thinking what is next step they need to go or pay more attention on the card game, the computer side will fail game. This is an example of computer only choose optimal way to do something under the program or data what human insert into it. If human don't put new  program or data into "Artificial Intelligence", it will not create new ways to play card game or do other things.

In "Smarter Than You Think", Thompson mentions that combine computer and person together to play the chess game as well, it make extra opportunity to win the game. We can imagine that how can we fight two "big brains"? Computer can think quickly and excellent identification analysis system under the current program to choose optimal ways; according to different situations, human brain can observe opponent's psychologies to make right decisions for increasing the chance of win game. Human brain and computer brain gather together will become stronger. This is "perfect match" for future society development. "Artificial Intelligence" technology can calculate complex content, such as analysis data and complex math. It can help us save time and makes the result more accurately. Human have different nervous systems create new things, communication with different people and make relationships as well as logical and rational thinking. With "Artificial Intelligence" and human brain development, how the future will look like? Is it become stronger and powerful? My answer is that the future will stronger and beautiful.
