Participant Projects & Reflections
Participant Projects & Reflections- Think about where you are in your project, how the institute has helped you advance your project, and what work/hasn’t worked.
- Consider length – please keep your post between 750-1000 words. Be clear, concise, and give context – some of your readers may not have context for the material or topics you are engaging with.
- Accessibility – meaning be conscientious of your audience and the reason why you are writing this
- Try to avoid academic jargon
- The writing doesn’t have to be formal as in academic writing, but instead more of a reflection or synthesis of your experience – lean into that!
- Use I – please embody and embrace your own perspective. I think this is critical in doing a blog because we are all approaching this from different standpoints. Think about how does it connect to your own research and writing?
- It might even be helpful to relay this project back to your bigger teaching/research goals/purpose.
- Use at least 1 image and incorporate hyperlinks if you can to make the post more interactive for your audience. Be sure to include a date and caption for any images.
