Wide Sargasso Sea
When I started getting into Jane Eyre, I wanted to explore more of that world because I was so interested in it. When my current English professor reccommended me this book, I was delighted. The reason I value this book is that it helped solidify my belief in finding and sharing all sides of a story. So often, stories are told from one, golden point of view that leaves out so much, and when you reveal those missing details you end up with a not-so-golden story. I think life is kind of the same way, and this book really got me thinking about the importance of untold stories.
