Speak is one of my favorite novels. I first read it when I was in middle school, and reading the story helped me cope with a lot of emotions I had as I emerged into puberty and young adulthood. This copy is particularly important to me because my sophomore year english teacher bought me a new copy after my old one was destoryed in a classroom accident.
