Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone
These days, you would be hard pressed to find someone who doesn't at least know the plot of Harry Potter, so it isn't a surprise that it made it onto my list of favorites. I was very much a Harry-Potter-Obsessed kid growing up, and I even have a wand from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter (which my mom calls a glorified, $40 stick). While I'm not quite as obsessed with it now, I used to have t-shirts, bookbags, socks and plenty of other memoribilia that I would wear almost every day. This book is special to me because it, and the series as a whole, is what really got me into reading and writing. Now, years later, I'm going into a writing career, and that interest really started when I was introduced to Hogwarts and started writing fan-fiction. Who knew a cringey, Draco Malfoy love story would lead to a successful career as a writer (other than E.L. James).
