Thanks for your patience during our recent outage at scalar.usc.edu. While Scalar content is loading normally now, saving is still slow, and Scalar's 'additional metadata' features have been disabled, which may interfere with features like timelines and maps that depend on metadata. This also means that saving a page or media item will remove its additional metadata. If this occurs, you can use the 'All versions' link at the bottom of the page to restore the earlier version. We are continuing to troubleshoot, and will provide further updates as needed. Note that this only affects Scalar projects at scalar.usc.edu, and not those hosted elsewhere.

Spencer3a6e09c2eefd9ca96adbf188c38f589304cf3ce2Live at Mona's is America's first live Irish music session album. Eamon O'Leary and Patrick Ourceau ran a weekly Irish music session at Mona's pub on New York's Lower East Side for years, and this recording project was a means for the musicians to document it. Sessions took place late at night on Mondays for a decade prior, and the following recordings were conducted between March and December, 2003. Selections were published as the cd Live at Mona's, and featured session leaders Eamon and Patrick holding forth with dozens of local and international musicians, playing hundreds of tunes. This site documents those recordings and the Mona's session during 2003, and stands as an open resource for players and enthusiasts of Irish traditional music.
Included in this site are the recordings and images from those session, with interviews, reviews and other details. Site navigation is in the upper left corner, or start with the links below. Images
