CNN is a network that since 2007 has dedicated large amounts of its coverage to the political atmosphere and even hosted candidate debates during the Democratic and Republican primary seasons. However, there has been controversy surrounding the news company for its disparate treatment of Republican and Democratic candidates. There was a tendency of casting Republican candidates in a negative light by a margin of 3 to 1.
In terms of the dubbed "Trump Tapes", with a simple search on the CNN website, the top results featured video coverage of the tapes themselves as well as one that features an interview with Arianne Zucker and Anderson Cooper, the woman who Trump discusses in the tape.
"The Trump tape doesn't matter"- An opinionated article that demonstrates the disparity in support between the Republican and Democratic Party through the use of language such as "Every dangerous and disgusting thing Trump says proves he's not fit..." and the blatant "Donald Trump is a pig".

However, with pieces not specifically designated as "opinionated" by CNN there is a focus on not just the content of the tapes but an emphasis on how Trump's campaign is affected by them.
"Woman in leaked Trump tape calls for kindness, respect" - Arianne Zucker discusses with Anderson Cooper how she wishes to achieve "kindness, dignity and respect" from the incident. The article continues to talk about how his boastful language about sexual assault has thrown his part and the entire political race into chaos.

While the language of these articles mostly conveys a neutral stance, there is mostly video coverage of those of the top of the Republican Party who are pulling their Trump endorsements such as Paul Ryan, House Speaker.
This media outlet decided to portray this story in a light where the event has overall negative connotations towards the Trump campaign.
