Navigating Student Mobility

The DART bus, which circulates through the University of Delaware, provides many students with important connections between residential areas, school buildings, and key facilities. Public transportation, such as the DART bus, plays a pivotal role in enabling accessible and equitable mobility for a wide range of students and faculty members.

At a bus stop along the South College Avenue, we can see a microcosm of campus life where students, school faculty, and staff gather while waiting for the bus. The bus facilitates movement to various locations on campus and expands service by connecting with several other off-campus areas.

The DART bus features a low entrance and slope, making it easy for disabilities people as well. In addition, the frequency of service during the rush hour (I used it for during key classes time) reduces latency and excessive density and establishes itself as a reliable public transportation.

But DART bus also have their drawbacks. Some students still feel the need for late-night service schedules and no direct routes to off-campus locations. Addressing these issues will improve accessibility.
