Climate Change Affects Mobility More Than You’d Think

Climate change can have some serious adverse effects on life as we know it. While we’ve all thought about how the climate can affect our outdoor spaces, some might not have considered its effect on mobility.
This link perfectly sums up the impacts that climate change can have on our ability to move around and interact with our world. We’ve already seen climate change lead to stronger storms, wildfires, and floods, but without further work to repair what damage has been done, we can become far more vulnerable to its effects.
While this image is a rather extreme example, it is very real. We have to understand and acknowledge that damage in our infrastructure like this one is our future.
As seen in this infographic, climate change has the ability to pretty much destroy our existing infrastructure. Our buildings, roadways, bridges – really anything – are at risk of erosion, deformation, and more prone to failure if we continue down the path toward serious climate change.
