Buses: a Climate Conscious Choice

I rode an actual public bus for the first time, not just a UD one, while home in Dover. When most people think of the bus, they think of somewhere dirty, with strange people. However the bus truly was not that bad. It took me a second to figure out how it worked, but my brother was able to help me since he rides the bus frequently. Originally I missed the first bus I was going to ride, so I had to wait for the next one, which was slightly inconvenient, but completely my fault.

Arguably it would’ve been more convenient to drive myself, but I had a good experience. While it did take me longer to get to my destination, I didn't have to drive, and I could relax so that was an added bonus. It’s even cleaner for the environment, which is why public transportation should be used more often. Using buses instead of everyone driving their own cars is a cleaner option due to less carbon dioxide emissions. This is why I can see buses and other public transportation options becoming more popular in the future due to the urge to reverse the effects of climate change to help protect our planet. Climate change is going to continue to impact automobility whether it be an increase in electric cars, more bike lanes, or normalizing take the bus places.
