Micro-Landscapes of the Anthropocene

Naturally Forming Artwork

I am incredibly passionate about the sky, and insist on taking photos of it regularly. As a result, I have a huge collection of them, at various stages of light, colour, setting, and silhouettes. This work made me think about that because of the beauty of the "naturally" occurring elements of our lives, that often go unnoticed (I'm still hooked on the concept of plant-blindness), and what "noticing" really even means, as a result.

Is it taking photos you'll never look at again?

Stopping for thirty seconds to look?

Pointing something out to someone else?

Thinking about it even when you can't see it?

I just know I try to notice the sky daily. And am literally never disappointed.
